2025

In an age that has forsaken the rituals of death and the sacred work of mourning—where old age is cast aside, and pain and futility are silenced—Mountain stands as a quiet reckoning.

A call to prepare, again and again, for the end.

Not as a defeat, but as a spiritual and bodily ascent—

a trial no lesser than life itself.

RootlessRoot’s latest work, Mountain, is a physical ritual of loss and transformation.

The performance delves into our relationship with death and forgetting through a poetic monologue, expressed in voice and movement.

Here, the sacred and the everyday coexist within the shared terrain of the mortal body.

A farewell ceremony, a tribute to life itself—an intimate confession of how we remember, how we forget, and, ultimately, how we exist.
